Ready for the Altar
It was with thanks He broke the bread, though sold with silver. The Son of Man is glorified, He says, and God is glorified in Him. So to the Cross He moves. He is ready for the altar. He will sacrifice with the voice of thanksgiving. ‘I will pay …’ This is His great avowal. Such were the tears and song of Jesus on the eve of Calvary.
